The English Course
A team of 20 migrant Mexicans dripped into the classroom for “Beginner’s English” at the “Shakespeare English College” in a community in Texas. As the trainees settled down in their seats scattered around the room, a high man using a layer and connection strolled in. He made his method to the teacher’s desk up front holding a pile of papers. He looked up at the students, and claimed, “Hey there!” The pupils duplicated, “Hi” with their ideal American accents. “Great!” the teacher claimed. “My name is ‘Peter Baker’.” The class stated, “My. name. is …” He unexpectedly stops and also points to himself, “Peter Baker”. He after that called each pupil in the class to state, “My name is.” and every one stated his name.
Peter called on one trainee worn a great commercial suit. “OK … Sir. My name is …” Before the teacher completed the sentence, the man stoutly said with a British English accent, “What rubbish! My name is Juan Carlos II from Mexico, state of Hidalgo. I talk English very well.”
Peter looked at him with his mouth open in disbelief. “You speak English??”. “ Are you daft, man? Naturally, I speak English!”. “ Then, why are you performing in this class for beginners as well as exactly how do you speak so well?”.
