Are CDs Still Popular? Music Formats in Use Today
I talk a lot about music and what it can do for the mind body and soul but something else I want to touch upon is products that you can listen to that music on. I’m going to tell you about some of the products that I actually use on a daily basis and then I will dive into some other products that are awesome that I don’t have but wish that I did.
So, the first product I use is pretty basic. I use my Apple iPhone 8. I just download Spotify or Pandora onto my phone and play it out loud while I am getting ready in the morning or when I am getting ready to go out with my girlfriends on the weekend. I love my iPhone it has great sound and it’s so clear and is the perfect loudness for my bathroom. I think all the iPhones work just fine. I just got an upgrade, so I love my new phone and the sound it gives off.
Another product I really love to use is my wireless beats headphones. Now that was one of the best purchases I have made in my life. They are amazing, and they connect using Bluetooth to my iPhone 8. These are great for working out because you don’t have to worry about cords or anything getting in your way and you don’t have to be all over your phone to change the song because the headphones have a button you can press to pause, play, next song, and go back to a song. They are perfect for going on runs and no matter how much you sweat they do not fall out of your ears.
Another product I absolutely love is my Bose sound link mini Bluetooth speaker. This thing was perfect for my freshman year in college when I had to use a community shower and me and my friends on my floor would take up all the showers at the same time and blast this speaker throughout the bathroom and sing on the top of our lungs it was hilarious. But the charging port was super easy you just set it right on top and it starts charging. The battery lasted a decent amount of time and the loudness on this speaker is awesome. I wonder how such a small speaker could produce that much sounds. The things that people invent these days really amazes me.
Something that is new to me and my family is Alexa. We just set it up in our house and you can just call out her name and tell her to look up anything. I love coming home and telling Alexa to play a certain playlist or song so then she just plays music right there and it is pretty loud. It is really nice to have when you’re super tired after work and have to cook dinner but then you remember you have Alexa and you can have her put on your favorite music and then actually enjoy cooking and being in the kitchen.
